Indian Biere House

Rediscovering the Silk Route…
This brief was a labyrinth, literally. It started on a flat land that we reached after clearing the covering. One fine morning, our client showed us the place and decided to walk away with a simple brief, “you’ve done my previous brewery project “Brahma Brews”, the brand is really strong and here I would want to create another brewery…”

Indian Biere House

Experience… Yes! Creating an experience is the key. And then again looking around, the brewery space was really happening and crowded. They focused on the ambience and vastness such as Bangalore’s biggest, India’s Biggest and then we were also fortunate to witness Asia’s largest. All we had was just about eleven thousand square feet land and were not even close to any adjectives to brag about. We had to come up with:
1. Brand
2. Architecture design
3.Craft beer branding
We love this kind of a brief.

Because we start with nothing; they have not decided how this brewery would look, what will it serve its customers when it comes to the cuisine and what will its customers call it. This a standard procedure for any branding exercise at HARRY&LOUIT, why should the customer choose Brand “A” over Brand “B”. This is universal and does really help to get right down to the point of creating an identity that is distinct.
Between gazing up at the sky, peering through empty voids and sleeping with the eyes open,  somewhere among these random acts of creative rituals, this is what we delivered:

BRAND PHILOSOPHY

The Indian element is at the heart of IBH. The social and cultural residues are evident in the brand’s outlook and cuisines, IBH curates this collective influence in its tone and medium, but mindfully just like the ways of the trading route: Craft Biere Branding | Rouge Elephant | Indian Chital | Temple Tiger | Kaala Bandar | Wild Vanilla

Harry & Louit faced the challenge of creating Indian Biere House (IBH), a brewery, on a limited 11,000 square feet. The project involved brand creation, architecture, and craft beer branding inspired by the Silk Route’s trade and discovery era. Influences span the Mediterranean to South East Asia with a modern European touch. Craft beer names like Rouge Elephant, Indian Chital, Temple Tiger, Kaala Bandar, and Wild Vanilla were introduced. The Neo-Manueline architecture echoes 18th-century Portuguese design, offering an alfresco setting with detailed stone and ceramic tiles, exuding comfort and luxury. IBH’s philosophy centers on the Indian element, evident in its outlook and cuisine, curated akin to the historic trading route. Read more…
